MORE ABOUT GAS CYLINDER TROLLEYS

Safe movement of your cylinders doesn't stop there either, as possible damage to gas welding regulators, hose, flashback arrestors and cutting equipment, is minimised too.

Trolleys reduce risk of cylinder fires

Cylinder fires are extremely difficult to manage & the volatility of acetylene in particular means that it should never be laid horizontally. Our gas cylinder trolleys have been carefully designed to allow you to transport heavy gas bottles across large workspaces with the minimum of fuss and effort.

Why Use Gas Cylinder Trolleys at Work

The manual handling of gas cylinders in the workplace should form part of your risk assessment policy.

The British Compressed Gas Association(BCGA) ,whose guidance we follow around CP7 gas equipment testing, make particular reference to the use trolleys in guidance notes GN3- 'Safe cylinder handling and the application of manual handling operations regulations to gas cylinders'.

The key elements to consider are as follows:

1. Wherever practicable trolleys should be used to move small quantities of cylinders.

2. Securing straps; Securing chains should be fitted.

3. Two handles should be fitted & they should be a height of at least 950mm

4. Wheels should be at least 200mm & regularly maintained.

5. Load width should allow for passing through doorways.

6. Trolleys should assist with transportation over uneven ground or kerbs.

Gas Bottle Trolley build quality

Our trolleys are made from galvanised steel painted red, a frame segregates twin bottle versions with a chain used to secure cylinders in place. 200mm solid tyres ensure that everything is easy to maneouvre.
