MORE ABOUT WELDING CURTAINS & SCREENS

Screens come with canvas, green lo-vis or amber hi-vis welding curtaining according to the level of visibility required on the shop floor.

Typical to our range are welding curtain screens, an ever popular addition to our personal protection portfolio in a world where health & safety plays an ever dominant role.

No responsible employer wants to see a victim of arc eye!

We have teamed up with a couple of manufacturers to provide you with a range of welding curtain material types and sizes. Everything is modular, identify the size of the area you want screening and the application. Then choose the welding curtain, & welding curtain frame.

Mobile welding screens protect against more than just arc eye too; curtains act as a safeguard against the risk of fire from stray sparks.

Our range is set to help suit your requirements, with a choice of low visibility green, or high visibility amber or canvas curtains. All curtains can pair with our Foster welding curtain frame . The frame's extension bar allows, not only 6 x 6 foot curtains to be fitted, but 6 x 8 foot too.

Welding screens don't have to be restricted to welding either, being suitable for protection around grinding, brazing, and other types of hotwork task too.

It is important to screen third parties & fellow fabricators from the welding arc, as It takes less than a second for an intense flash of UV light to cause arc eye.

This condition distorts the vision and whilst it is usually temporary, it can be very painful to endure. If the eye is exposed to unsafe levels of UV light, the cornea will start to burn and this is where the pain comes from. If serious, the burn will require expert medical treatment.

The milder effects of arc eye can be counteracted by flushing the cornea with water, but it is a much better idea to pick up a high quality welding screen from Foster Industrial and make sure that your employees are never put at risk in the first place. We distribute a range of robust canvas, green & amber welding screens and curtains, as well as sturdy welding curtain frames throughout the UK.

Why Are Welding Screens So Important?

In order to stay safe and protected, employees carrying out hotwork should be entirely enclosed with one or several welding screens. The products on offer at Foster Industrial all conform to stringent British safety and manufacturing standards EN1598, so you can rest safe in the knowledge that you and your workers will always be protected.

The environments in which hotwork tends to take place mean that welding screens are an ideal solution. They take up the minimum amount of space, are easy to move around, and do not obscure the fact that an employee is working within the temporary structure. If they are arranged free from tripping hazards and do not block exits or walkways, they are an essential and endlessly handy safety resource for welders
