MORE ABOUT HYPERTHERM PLASMA CUTTERS
Whilst all of the Hypertherm plasma cutter machines have previously needed to connect to compressed air and electricity, the Powermax 30 air unique feature is its internal compressor. Even with it's on board air compressor and dryer, it weighs just 13.5 kilos making it a highly portable one man cutting tool. Coupled to this, its ability to connect to all single phase power (110/240 volt) and sever 16mm metals, means it's attracting interest in industries such farming, where it can be run from a tractor power take off.
From the Powermax 30 Air we have the 33XP which has an almost identical specification but without the built in compressor. The 33XP is the most affordable way to get on the Hypertherm ladder and is ideal for car repair and restoration. A step up from the 30 Air and 33XP is the Powermax 45 SYNC. Hands down this is our (and Hypertherm’s) most popular hand held plasma cutter ever! Available in both single phase or three phase, this amazing machine weighs in at just over 15kgs, has a cutting capacity of 29mm on mild steel and it is able to mark metal too. The Powermax 45 SYNC also has the ability to run on a CNC cutting table as do all the Hypertherm machines in the range from here upwards, which leads us on nicely to the Powermax 65, 85 & 105 SYNC systems.
These models offer severing capacities of 32mm, 38mm and 50mm respectively and all of them benefit from the new generation SYNC cartridge torches. Revolutionary technology allowing the operator to view cutting data and the remaining life of consumable cartridge.
Finally at the top of the range, we have the Powermax 125. The power source and torch were designed with maximum performance in mind and the system benefits from a 100% duty cycle meaning all day cutting at any amps with zero down time.
