Order stainless steel welding rods online. Stainless steel arc welding electrodes have been produced by Swedish manufacturer Elga for over half a century. Elga's stainless steel welding rod family is called Cromarod, a quality range of electrodes that offer excellent weld bead shape and a self detaching slag.
We have hand selected a range of Elga's Cromarod stainless steel welding rods, which are supplied by the tin in 308, 309, 312 & 316 grades and SifChrome 316 electrodes available in 1 kilo packs for your convenience.
Elga's basic stainless welding rods are specially designed for higher toughness, low temperature requirements. Increased gas shield, due to Cromarod's increased carbonate content means you can combat windy conditions on site.
Cromarod 308L and Cromarod 316L are typical all-round stainless welding rods, can run on AC or DC current and are easy to use.
Cromarod 308L is suitable for welding stainless steel grade 304 material, as well as Nb or Ti stabilised grades 347 and 321, when you require resistance to corrosion.
Cromarod 316L is suitable for welding normal carbon 316 type grades.
Cromarod 309L is used for welding dissimilar joints between stainless and mild or low alloy steels and the welding of 309 itself.
Cromarod 312 is chosen for difficult to weld steels and dissimilar joints between stainless and high carbon steel.
In 2013, we added the SifChrome range of stainless arc welding electrodes to our range. SifChrome is manufactured by Weldability-Sif, providing a high quality, competitive alternative to other brands and is available in a variety of pack sizes.
